Folks,
We have half-days for this week, Wednesday (1,2,3) and Thursday (4,5,6). We discussed the ending of the book together, and the whole warning to us from Orwell. Remember, he wants us to catch the atrocity before it happens to us!  In Student Resources, there are the notes from the discussion. Also, we have a paper due, topic, the windmill. The rubric is also posted in the Student Resources section.

George Orwell's Animal Farm is a carbon-copy map of what not-to-do for a society. The reading schedule is located on the left, and for the majority of those that requested the hard copy of the chapters, I will provide those. You may highlight and annotate as you see fit. I will also upload a digital file for you. REMEMBER! Each character corresponds to a person or people in Russian history. i.e. Mr. Jones = Tzar Nicholas II. As in a riddle, you must find and connect the other characters. Chapters 1 and 2 have Clover and old Major among others. - Mrs. C
